Monthly Highlights
Below are photos and a story from the recent month's guided fly fishing trips.
January 2012
Jerome is one of the new breed of young anglers. Very proficient, a blessing when dealing with spooky trout!
The ability of getting that first cast right makes such a big difference. I hadn't seen this young man (now in his 30's) since he was a teenager helping out in his family's business during the school holidays exactly 20 years ago. My wife and I were employed by Jerome's family at the time.
I didn't realise that he would end up being one of my clients all these years later! A bit of a coincidence since he was looking for a guide on the "net" and stumbled across me.
The name sounded familiar he thought and the initial contact revealed that I was indeed the guy he knew from way back.
It's amazing how small the world has become thanks to the electronic age and a very competent web master also helps! Jerome has become a very passionate fly angler and passion generally equates to competency as the following photos reveal.
A bientot Jerome!
A bow and arrow cast accounted for this fine brownie. | Another fine fish on it's way back home | Can it get any better than this. | ||
Jerome with a quality brown trout | A superb setting for this fish. |
